Ticketed Event Refund Policy

This policy outlines the terms and conditions for ticket refunds for events hosted by The Opera House, LLC. By purchasing a ticket, you agree to these terms.

1. General Refund Eligibility

All ticket sales are final and non-refundable except under the specific circumstances listed in Sections 2 and 3 below. No refunds will be issued for non-attendance or for tickets purchased in error.

2. Circumstances Elligable for Refund

A. Event Cancellation

If the entire event is canceled for any reason (including but not limited to force majeure, venue issues, or performer unavailability), ticket holders will be entitled to a full refund of the ticket price and any service fees.

  1. Process: Refunds will be processed automatically to the original method of payment within [Number] business days of the cancellation announcement. No action is required by the ticket holder.

B. Event Postponement/Rescheduling

If the event is postponed and rescheduled to a new date:

  1. Option 1: Attend the new date: Your existing ticket will be valid for the rescheduled date. No action is required.
  2. Option 2: Request a Refund: If you are unable to attend the new date, you must notify us in writing via email at info@stevenspointoperahouse.org within 5 days of the postponement announcement to request a full refund. Failure to request a refund within this window will void your eligibility.

3. Special Circumstances

A. Headliner or Performer Change

If a specific headliner or major performer is unable to appear and is replaced by another performer, or if there are changes to supporting acts, this does not constitute a reason for a refund. The event is considered an overall production, not solely dependent on any individual artist.

B. Personal Medical/Travel Issues

Refunds will not be granted due to a ticket holder’s personal illness, change in travel plans, inability to attend, or other personal circumstances.

C. Will Call (Box Office) Tickets

Tickets designated for collection at "Will Call" or the Box Office remain subject to the general refund policy (Section 1). Failure to pick up Will Call tickets does not qualify for a refund, as the ticket remains reserved and guaranteed for the ticket holder from the time of purchase.

4. Refund Request Procedure (When Eligible)

  1. Contact: Send an email to info@stevenspointoperahouse.org.
  2. Subject Line: Use the subject line: "Refund Request: [Event Name] - [Order Number]".
  3. Required Information: Include your full name, order number, and a brief explanation of the reason for the request (referencing sections 2 or 3).

5. Final Notes

  1. Any refund issued will be for the face value of the ticket plus associated service fees paid at the time of purchase.
  2. Refunds will only be made to the original purchaser and to the original payment method.
  3. No refunds will be considered within 3 days (e.g., 48 or 24 hours) of the scheduled event start time.

The Opera House, LLC reserves the right to modify this refund policy at any time, with changes becoming effective immediately upon posting.
